Scammer Diana Koh jailed

Update: Added more articles and links from various forums and blogs to know more about what netizens think about this scam :) I will probably update this blog with more "goodies" (guidelines, investigations, evidences, etc).

Dear all, the blog is back and with good news too! The scammer, Diana Koh has been jailed for 3 months :) The full report has been published on The Straits Times on 14 Aug 2009. We were also featured in The Straits Times' National Day Special - 44 Things you Like about Singapore and we're representing the category under "blogshop". Though in a negative way, but better than nothing :P Well, too bad there isn't a photo of Diana Koh to shame her. Oh wells! But anyway, most of us already knew isn't it? :D

Also, here are some links from various blogs and forums discussing about the scam.

I hope this case serves as a warning to all scammers and deter them from cheating our hard-earned money. Don't ever think that you will never get caught if you cheated just a few dollars from each victim. Praying that the infamous "Roxyger" will get caught too. Watch your backside huh *cough* ;)

With that, I want to thank all the victims and various good samaritans for your help and cooperation! Otherwise, this case wouldn't be finalized that soon :)

Justice has a long arm, and the guilty can never escape heaven's justice.

That's the exact situation now ;)

Cheers to everyone and all the best!

Blog Closed

Due to some people who refused to co-operate, I will close this blog for now and leave it here bare. If you guys don't trust me and insist on doing your way, there is nothing I can do. Whether it's a conspiracy or what, whether it's the real victims or what, it doesn't matter now :)

Have the guts to complain here, have the guts to complain to me. I am waiting. I will definitely give you a good explanation why I am doing all these.

If you are just here to create trouble, then I can tell you - You won't have your way ;) God has eyes to see and hear.

Please read the email that I had circulated before judging me. I am not afraid of someone who had committed a crime. Why should I? My conscience is clear :) What for I waste my time in all these? What are my reasons for doing so? Do you think you can do the same thing? If you can't and just want to jump on the bandwagon, I think you are really shallow ;)

Don't come crying to me if you can't get back your refunds.

You may email me if you have any queries, but I have the choice to reply or not to. I have my own personal life to carry on ;)

Restitution in Process

Update: Dear all, please note that I DO NOT have the authority to ask the scammer to refund to the rest of the victims. I know all of you are really concerned about it but there is nothing I can do. I can't email her and tell her to refund so and so. I cannot/am not supposed to do it on your behalf. She is only taking instructions from the police, not me. I am a victim as well.

For those who had received the call from the IO and had submitted your transaction details, you will be getting back your money 100% for sure.

For those who had not reported to the police at all, the only thing I can advise you is to give a call to the officer and ask him about it. I have no control over this case at all. Thank you for the cooperation thus far. I will be waiting for the refunds to come in.

As some of you had know, the accused has circulated an email to do refunds to those victims that had reported. Well, she did not send an email to me. So if the accused is reading this, do send me the email ASAP. I believe the police will be requesting the transaction report from you in 2 weeks' time. It is a MUST for you to refund to each and every one of us. You should know further consequences for not refunding.

As per IO Chia, all we need to revert back to her is just our name and bank account number. We can ignore the rest of the content as those are not needed. He also informed me that he had given her our real names and email addresses. I am pretty upset at this regulation of theirs. But anyway, I have done nothing wrong and I am not guilty of anything :)

Nevertheless, I will remove all blog contents to ensure that the refunds goes smoothly for each and every one of us. Cheers everyone and don't lose hope in online shopping! ;)

Almost There

Update (18 May 2009): I am removing all details of the scammer due to an email of unknown origin circulating to all the victims (except myself?). I will check with the Investigation Officer before taking further action. By the way, http://k-sayuri-diana-koh-scam.blogspot.com and http://blogshop-scammers.blogspot.com is NOT related to this blog at all. Please do your homework before making assumptions. I think it's not fair to the rest of the people.

Ladies,

I was at Cantonment today and had gathered more information provided by the Investigation Officer:-

- Out of 57 victims, only 30 over victims had made official police reports. All these people will be getting back their money.

- The scammer had admitted the crime and her computer will be seized for further investigations.

- Police will not reveal her identity due to their rules and regulations. The only information provided to me was she's a 22 year old student.

- They are currently liaising with DBS Bank and the scammer to consolidate all the transaction details from each and every victims.

- She MUST refund all the money to those who had made police reports.

- The officer added on that I have a choice to meet her up to get back my money or ask her to refund via iBanking. What for? Meet her up and whack her for scamming us? :P

- He added that whether the scammer will refund to us or not, the police has no control over it. However, she is required to provide the transaction details to the police to prove that she had made the refunds. (Contradicting?)

- Thereafter, she will be charged. Whether she will just be given a warning or being charged with a more serious offence, the police will update us. This will take a few months.

Good job everyone! :) Merely 2 months and we are almost there ;) At last, our ordeal is nearly over.

P/S: Thanks Noir, ShimmeryShine, Dorothy, ASD, PrunesPink, Sibani, Sabrina and of cos all the victims for helping one another. Well appreciated! :)

Call from Commercial Crime Squad

Dear all,

Good news! I have received a call from the Commercial Crime Squad from CAD and they told me that the scammer has been prosecuted. They are continuing with their investigations. Identity of the scammer was not revealed to me as the officer merely asked me for my email address that I had liaised with the scammer while purchasing the bags. They will be seizing her personal computer to check on the archives and transactions being done.

Do drop me an email if anyone of you have other information pertaining to this case.

Case Escalated to Commercial Affairs Department

Dear everyone,

This case has been escalated to the Commercial Affairs Department :) This is great news. At this moment, they are still consolidating all the reports from the victims and this may take some time. It may drag on for months or even a year in order to carry on with the investigations and get her prosecuted. They are in the midst of checking the transactions that we made to K-sayuri.

The officer did not even know that I have the relevant documents with me. Thus, I will be emailing all the evidences that I have on hand right now to one of the officers in charge and he will be helping us to expedite the case.

If anyone of you have supporting evidences, please do not hesitate to email me. It will definitely help to make their job easier :)

For the rest of the victims who have not email me before, please make individual police reports and they will add it on to the case.

Thank you everyone for the patience. This is the best I can do for now ;)

SafeBlogShopper.com

Safe Blog Shopper is born to create the awareness of online scamming amongst netizens.

Online scamming has been increasing over the years but not many victims are willing to step out to get help. I hope with this channel, all victims will work hand in hand to nab the scammers ;) They are not going to get away with this.

Meanwhile for our case, I am still trying to contact my Investigation Officer. Will update again.

P/S: K Sayuri Scam is not affiliated to SafeBlogShopper in any way. Sorry for any confusion caused.

Police Report Made Successfully

Update (2 Apr 2009): I have news that the police is consolidating all the reports. Don't be surprised if they called you up to head down to assist in their investigations. Please email me once you received their call and I will guide everyone along ;)

We have successfully made a report on 27 March 2009 at Cantonment Complex. If you are one of her victims, logon to http://www.spf.gov.sg/epc/ePCLinks.html and make an online police report. Mention the following report number to support the case:-

A/20090327/2105
A/20090327/2140
A/20090327/2141
A/20090327/2142
A/20090327/2143
A/20090327/2145

As and when, the police may call you up to go down to take a statement. Thus if you are uncomfortable with that, DO NOT make a police report. I am still waiting for the update from the police, hence we are not heading to Small Claims Tribunal at this point of time. I understand that the police are calling up some of the victims already, they are already taking action :) Kudos to everyone.

By the way, http://k-sayuri-diana-koh-scam.blogspot.com is NOT affiliated to this K-sayuri Scam blog.

I hate to write this, but I am really angry about it. I don't know who created this blog and I have reminded the owner numerous times that disclosing of personal details will get us into trouble and will be a hinder to our case. I understand that she is one of the victims. I don't know what was her motive for doing so. So to the owner, do kindly remove all the personal details of the scammer. If the scammer founds out, she CAN bring all of us to court. If you just wanted to bring across the awareness and help me on this, direct everyone to this blog instead and don't jump on the bandwagon. We can work hand in hand.

This will be my last reminder. If anything goes wrong, I will drop this case as I do not want to get myself into trouble as well.

Updates as of 26 March 2009

Dear everyone,

Some victims have email me about the progress. Do not worry. I have already compiled all the relevant evidences and will be showing it to the police :) Kudos to everyone for the cooperation.

The reason why I am not exposing the scammer is because under Singapore law, we are NOT supposed to disclose anybody's personal details online. Public shaming is disallowed as it is illegal. The person may charge us for defaming. Slandering of her company's products is illegal too. These are totally two different things. We are handling with K-sayuri and not her other blog stuff. Thus, I hope everyone will be patient with me and abide the law :) I have all the solid proofs with me already. Thanks to the rest who managed to send us other relevant evidences to confirm the identity of the scammer :)

We will be heading down to the police station this Friday, 27 March 2009. Those who are keen to make their own police report, please drop me an email and I will forward the common report case no. to you. Thereafter, you may proceed to the nearest police station around your area, quote the same case no. to the policemen and they will assist you.

After making the police report, I will head down to Small Claims Tribunal to make a claim on behalf of all the victims. Unfortunately, I only have two hands :P Please be patient with me ;)

Wish us luck ;)

The Loopholes

The case started when the highly sorted after Victoria's Secret bags went OOS (Out of Stock) in the website http://www.victoriassecret.com

Thus, imagine our excitement when we were introduced to this blog that sells those bags at cut throat prices?! Yes, the bags are priced at ridiculously low prices at http://k-sayuri.blogspot.com when other blogshops are selling them at more than 300% of the original clearance sale price.

The reason from doing so? The seller is migrating to Australia on 19 March 2009.

Sorry, I had to blur out the number to prevent from getting charged for revealing personal details :P Do also note the date of her post. She published this post on 15 March 2009. I only paid her on 18 March 2009 @ 8:54AM GMT+8. It's impossible for her to publish during that period.

I need to paste the cache link as she had deleted her blog on 19 March 2009, the day she left Singapore to Australia which she claimed. Also, someone tried to call Merlinda whom K-sayuri claimed that it's her partner but it kept going through to a permanent engaged tone.

Unfortunately, she lied through her teeth. There is no afternoon flight on 19 March 2009 for Qantas QF6. There's only one flight at 730pm. Is that considered afternoon or evening? Hmm... Before I could ask her any further, she deleted her email address.

A sign of supernatural phenomenon? No. But this was how things get started. What we found out:-

- She will only send out the items through normal mail as she claimed that the mailbox is near her residence
- She will NOT meet up or send by registered mail. Reason as above.
- She will send all of us a picture of the parcel that she is going to post to our residential addresses. Why the trouble?

Do a comparison of the parcels and you will realize that the dents and marks all fall on the same places. You mean parcels can duplicate by themselves? What we speculated:-

- She used the post it note paper to write down our addresses
- Pasted it on the envelope to look as if she is going to send us the parcel
- Took a picture and email it to us for assurance
- Did the same to the rest of the buyers

One of the girls had purchased 5 bags. How could 5 bags possibly be squeezed into the mailbox which is a mere 3 or 4cm gap?! Impossible. With 5 bags, she would still have to drop by the post office to post out the parcel.

I will update if there are more loopholes ;)

The Case

This blog is created to reach out to everyone who have bought from http://k-sayuri.blogspot.com

As of now, the blog has been deleted. But there is the cache version of the blog.

http://72.14.235.132/search?q=cache:1S_Icd8rCUIJ:www.k-sayuri.blogspot.com/+k+sayuri&cd=4&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=sg

Never underestimate the power of Google ;) Man, I love this search engine.

Further to our investigations, we have concluded that the seller from K-sayuri is a scammer. Till date there are around 25 buyers who have not received their parcels from K-sayuri. A case of lost mails? I doubt so.

Are you one of them? Send your email correspondences indicating the below details to

- Forward your email correspondences with K-sayuri
- Your type of bank account and bank account number
- Your email address
- Things you bought from her
- Total amount you paid
- Transaction code or reference number for payment. If you paid by ATM, I need a scanned copy of the receipt
- Picture of the parcel that she sent you

Feel free to send any "evidences" you have found pertaining to this case. I will be glad to help everyone with this :)

This person breached our trust and made use of the situation to scam us :( We have to nab this scammer!

Watch out for this space for further updates :)
